Since he was able to communicate, music has been a way of life for Harmani.
Born Armani Balaguer, the 21-year-old Newburgh, NY native began singing at the age 7. Although he was writing songs and singing them for friends by the time he was 10, it wasn’t until he was 13 that he found his true voice on the microphone while working at TRUSIC Studios with his mentor and executive producer, SES Vth. He has since written dozens more songs and entertained thousands at festivals and showcases.
A virtuoso on the keys and guitar, Harmani is mostly a self-taught musician who credits his family – specifically his mother and two younger brothers – for being big influences on music.
“My dad was around – on the fringes,” he says. “He had a big impact on the kind of person I am when it comes to writing music. With his absence came creativity – but my focus was on making my voice unique to me.”
The singer/songwriter, producer, dancer, theatrical actor, and MC says he is influenced by all genres of music and considers himself to be open musically to everything from Hip-Hop to indie, R&B, soul, and pop. His first project – the highly anticipated EP, Half Life is set to release in 2022.
“It is my representation of where I want to go in life. Infinity is limitless and my goal is limitless,” he says about the project. “Everyone has a goal they have in mind and in order to reach it, you have to go through those trials and tribulations. Infinity is limitless. Infinity is keeping on that goal.”
